William “Bill” Carey PT, DPT

Clinical Director, Doctor of Physical TherapyDr. Bill Carey earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Stockton University in New Jersey. His passion for PT was ignited early in his career and he strives to bring friendly atmosphere and superior care to field of Physical Therapy. Bill is exited to call Progressive Physical Therapy his new home, and looks forward to joining the Tarzana community. Bill also plans to complete an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist Certification in the coming years, as well as continuing education in manual therapy and ultrasound imaging to further the advancement of the practice and improve his patient care. He currently has advanced education in spinal manipulation, vestibular disorders, and vertigo treatments.
Bill is a new resident of Los Angeles as he just arrived from New Jersey with his wife, Emma, and his dog Kai. In his free time he enjoys playing hockey and golf, is an avid musician, playing acoustic guitar, and enjoys traveling the globe.

Doctor of Physical TherapyJohna earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy from University of Evansville. She later obtained her Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University. As a precursor to her physical therapy training, she studied athletic training at Purdue University. She is certified in manual therapy from University of St. Augustine and has been a Board-Certified Orthopedic Specialist for over 20 years. She is certified in Pilates for rehabilitation and has trained as a professional yoga therapist.
During her career, she has had the pleasure of working in a variety of settings including Cirque du Soleil, Walt Disney World, Orlando Regional Medical Center – Level 1 Trauma Center, Orlando Ballet, Miami City Ballet, The Rockettes, Camp Pendleton, the Centennial Olympic Games, American Cup Gymnastics, and the FIFA World Cup. These experiences have provided for the collection of a varied and unique rehabilitation perspective.
She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the National Athletic Trainers Association, and is a lab instructor for Myopain Seminars.
Megan Kilgore PT, DPT

Physical TherapistMegan first graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a degree in Biology. She then earned her Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from Western University of Health Science. She has advanced clinical knowledge and experience in multiple areas of physical therapy from geriatrics and toward her primary work in orthopedics. She has continued her diverse development and education with knowledge and training in neurological disorders, sports and athletics, post-op patients, and is working towards a specialty in Pelvic Health. As an avid learner, she supports her development of the latest skills and techniques within the field of Physical Therapy – which includes the detailed work of staying up to date on the latest research and treatment options. Megan ensures her patients are receiving evidence based and current treatments tailored to each person’s needs and goals. She is excited to be apart of the Progressive Physical Therapy team in Tarzana and meet the needs of this diverse community.

Physical Therapist AssistantJocelyn graduated from Cal State Northridge with her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology in 2014. She found her passion for the art and science of Physical Therapy after attending rehabilitation and physical therapy herself for various soccer injuries and sports injuries. She went on to complete her Physical Therapist Assistant schooling at Casa Loma College, graduating with high honors. Combining her passion for physical therapy with her experience in Pilates-based physical therapy and manually assisted techniques such as Graston, Jocelyn achieves rapid results with her patients. She works with patients of all backgrounds and prides herself in treating each patient like family. Jocelyn is available Monday through Friday for treatment and works in conjunction with the primary Physical Therapists plan of care.

Miral Bhakta grew up and has spent a majority of her life in South Los Angeles. As a child, she always craved to help others and became curious about finding ways to provide care to those around her. Upon completing her Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from California State University Long Beach, she volunteered at a local Physical Therapy clinic where she realized how she could combine her passion with her career. She recently earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Chapman University where she was exposed to a variety of care from pediatrics to geriatrics and from neurological to orthopedics.
Miral is thrilled to join the Progressive Physical Therapy team in Tarzana and play her part to serve the needs of the community. She is very detail oriented who deeply values understanding her patient’s unique needs to provide the necessary treatment and care as part of her individualized patient care. She also hopes to set an example and provide mentorship for aspiring Physical Therapists.
