Repetitive Motion Injury Management
When a body part is under too much stress through repetitive motion, inflammation, muscle strain, tissue damage, pain, and swelling can occur.
Repetitive motion injuries are most common in elbows, shoulders, knees, and heels and especially affect people who spend much of their time at a computer or on their phones.
Physical therapy can reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation in tendons, muscles, and joints from repetitive motion injuries. During therapy, your joints and muscles are treated to improve strength and flexibility. Once range of motion is restored, exercises can be progressed to treat the stabilization of healing areas.
Repetitive motion injury therapy can treat common conditions such as:
- Bursitis
- Carpal tunnel
- Epicondylitis
- Osgood-Schlatter disease
- Patellofemoral syndrome
- Shin splints
- Stress fractures
- Tendonitis
