Myofascial Pain
If you feel a consistent pain deep within your muscles, you may have myofascial pain syndrome.
Myofascial pain syndrome causes chronic muscle pain derived from your muscle’s connective tissue, called the fascia. This pain results from inflammation, often causing the feeling that there is a knot in your muscle. Without treatment, the pain will only increase over time.
With physical therapy, pain relief and increased mobility are possible if you suffer from myofascial pain. Our therapists use specific modalities to treat your symptoms by correcting any contributing factors and loosening, stretching, and strengthening the muscles.
- Muscle spasms
- Localized knots
- Muscle tightness, tension, or stiffness
- Muscle weakness
